Types of Logos When designing a new logo, keep in mind that a logo usually falls into the above categories. Decide which type of logo best suits your needs. Avoid designing a logo that has a great deal of detail. If you intend using a logo that may be downsized to less than one inch square, make sure that you do not use text that would be difficult to read. Print out this page and then, in the space below, sketch out a logo. You do not have to be an artist. Attempt only to convey your thoughts. Attach any clippings or designs that may help. Most important, give the measurements, such as 1"X1". If you are using text, indicate which font typeface you would like to use. If you do not know names of typefaces, tear out samples from magazines or other materials, so that we may identify them. Indicate whether we should hold fast to your sketches, or use our best judgement to give you a good looking logo. Attach additional pages, if necessary. Keep everything as simple as possible.
